PUBLIC NOTICES & ANNOUNCEMENTS

2020 MEMORIAL DAY PARADE CANCELLED

From the Jordan Memorial Parade of Bands Facebook Page...

After several weeks of hoping things would be different, the Village of Jordan and the Jordan Memorial Day Committee have decide to cancel the parade. It is with heavy hearts that we have come to this decision. Memorial Day has been a part of Jordan each year since the 1870s as the community remembers those who have sacrificed their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.

While Memorial Day this year will be different, please take a moment to reflect on what a wonderful country we live in and be thankful for all those who have worked and continue to work to make it so. Also please make an extra effort to fly the flag on Memorial Day. Thank you all for your support. See you in 2021.

-Ken Bush

WATER AND SEWER RATE INCREASE

  • After extensive deliberation and many calculations, the Board of Trustees resolved to raise water and sewer rates, effective in July. Sewer rates have not increased since 2007 and water rates since 2015. The ever-increasing cost of operation has caused greater deficits over the past couple years that the funds cannot sustain at the current rates. The combined base increase for village residents will be $28.00 per quarter ($9.33 per month) per unit.

NEW BASE RATES ARE

Village Sewer base rate $100.00 plus if over 5,000 gallons $0.55 per 100 gallons  Village Water base rate $ 30.00 plus if over 5,000 gallons $0.18 per 100 gallons Outside Water base rate $ 47.00 plus if over 5,000 gallons $0.35 per 100 gallons .

LT2 rates will not be affected and remains at $6.50 per quarter with all usage at $0.04 per hundred gallons.
