After extensive deliberation and many calculations, the Board of Trustees resolved to raise water and sewer rates, effective in July.
Sewer rates have not increased since 2007 and water rates since 2015.
The ever-increasing cost of operation has caused greater deficits over the past couple years that the funds cannot sustain at the current rates.
The combined base increase for village residents will be $28.00 per quarter ($9.33 per month) per unit.
NEW BASE RATES ARE:
Village Sewer base rate $100.00 plus if over 5,000 gallons $0.55 per 100 gallons Village Water base rate $ 30.00 plus if over 5,000 gallons $0.18 per 100 gallons Outside Water base rate $ 47.00 plus if over 5,000 gallons $0.35 per 100 gallons .
LT2 rates will not be affected and remains at $6.50 per quarter with all usage at $0.04 per hundred gallons.
